It was the first warm day since the Winter, and the children were excited to play outside. It was the Day of Rest, so Adam did not go to the fields to work. He stayed at home. Eve sat in the kitchen exhausted. For the first time since the days began to lengthen, she was alone. She breathed out a long sigh, as though she was exhaling all the troubles of the World.
