English spirituality is a hidden treasure, still closely guarded in parts of the Church of England but sadly buried under modern detritus by much of it. Remembrance of the old English saints and invocation of their mighty prayers is surely needed to restore our nation to Christendom and to order.

I'm currently world building for a scifi novel that I hope to write in the future (when I am not in grad school) that is about a world colonized by the descendants of a bunch of Anglophiles, to make it short. Some of my ideas overlap with what you wrote here, but there's some elements I never considered that are quintessential "anglo", perhaps because I'm an american. Specifically, the optimism. It gives me something to think about as I continue world building!

I fear that you would find the real England a nation of pessimist and grumblers! The spirit of optimism went over on the boats to America.

If anything, I think that the USA is where English spirituality is going to enjoy its renaissance, both in the new Anglican churches and the Western Rite Orthodox movement. But I very much hope that some of their optimism will blow back over the Atlantic to the old country. Your novel might help with that. May God grant fruit to your endeavours.
